Why I'm Doing This

Honest answer.

Brookshear Operations is brand new. I'm at the stage every consultant goes through: I have the skills, the certifications, and the track record from inside other companies — but I don't have public case studies of my own to show prospects yet.

The fastest way to fix that is to do excellent work for a few founding clients at a reduced rate, then document those engagements as case studies that future clients can read before hiring me.

You get high-quality work at a discount. I get the proof I need to grow. It's a fair trade.

What makes a good founding client.

✅ Good fit if you're:
  • A small business owner with real revenue (not pre-revenue)
  • Open to me documenting our work for a case study
  • Available for a 30-min interview after delivery
  • Comfortable with chase@brookshearbooks.com being credited as your bookkeeper / consultant
  • Decisive — can scope and start within 2 weeks
❌ Not a fit if:
  • You want anonymity in the case study (defeats the purpose)
  • You can't commit to the post-delivery interview
  • You're shopping multiple consultants at once
  • Your books are in such bad shape we need 3+ months of cleanup before any real work starts
  • You're not actually ready to fix the problem (just collecting quotes)

From discovery call to case study.

Free 20-min discovery call
I map your current situation, identify the specific problem to fix, and confirm we're a good fit. If we are, I send you the scope doc within 48 hours.

Scope agreement + founding client agreement
You sign two things: the scope doc with deliverables and timeline, plus a brief founding client agreement that says you'll do a 30-min interview after delivery and let me use your name + business in the case study.

The work happens
Quick Win delivered in 5 business days. Monthly bookkeeping starts the 1st of next month. Build & Deploy follows its standard 4-8 week timeline. Same quality of work, just at the founding rate.

30-min case study interview
After delivery, we hop on Zoom for 30 minutes. I ask: what was the problem, what did we build, what changed, what would you tell another business owner considering this. I write the case study from that. You get final approval before it goes public.

Founding rate locked in
If you continue working with me (monthly retainer, additional builds, ongoing bookkeeping), your founding rate stays in effect for as long as our relationship continues. No annual rate increases on founding clients. Ever.
